   TERATEX FABRIC
HITS THE RECYCLING WORLD

In the past we were unable to recycle used fabric from office furniture chairs.  Now the revolutionary Teratex fabric has entered center stage. Allowing the ability to directly recycle something back to its original source material. This makes Teratex the first recyclable material. Teratex is more than a product. This product has been introduced over the past year. It has replaced the polyester fabrics in some of the most popular panel fabrics. It is a brand guarantee that a fabric meets criteria; that it is made of 100% recycled material, that can be recycled at the end of its useful life, and that it was manufactured using environmentally responsible practices that are reducing waste and toxic emissions that effect our changing world.  In the future this product will lead to zero waste leaving room in our landfills.

A new family of fabrics that meet three criteria:
They are from recycled. they can be recycled and they are made with increasingly environmentally sustainable manufacturing process.
   Ecosensible Words To Live By.
RECYCLE:

Redirecting a used core product away from the landfills and back into a useful resource stream.
RECYCLABLE:
The ability to direct recycle something back to its original source material.
SUSTAINABILITY:

A comprehensive  approach to rethinking and redesigning the complex relationship between business and the environment where products are manufactured to reduce waste, re-use resources and contribute to restoring the environment.

All Problem Solver Neuli-Manufactured seating uses the environmentally safe Teratex fabric.
By purchasing Neuli-Manufactured chairs from our company, you will be ensuring the future of the earth for yourself and future generations.

REFURBISHING RECYCLING REMANUFACTURING

These are words that just a few years ago meant little to facility managers.  Today they are common words meaning cost savings, aesthetic enhancement and environmental consciousness.
The recycling of office furniture is an industry, now more than ten years old, that has come of age.  Earlier concerns about quality, long-term cost-benefits and impact on image have fallen away as more companies choose to refurbish rather than buy new.  At least 50% of all U.S. companies now include refurbishing in their annual budgets.
Systems furniture provides one of the best opportunities to upgrade office environments while reusing, rather than discarding, a
valuable asset.  Whether it be Steelcase, Haworth, Herman Miller® or any of the
well recognized names, this furniture is
built to last-and it does.  As one refurbisher
has put it:  "Quality furniture manufacturers didn't design obsolescence into their products.

A REAL OPTION

   [Their] systems furniture doesn't die,
its colors and finishes just become outdated."
Refurbishing, using new fabrics and finishes to rejuvenate existing furniture, is an option that can no longer be overlooked.  Buyers should consider the following financial, aesthetic and environmental benefits that refurbishing has to offer.

FINANCIAL

COST.  Refurbished furniture costs up to 80% less than manufacturer's list price, and can still cost between 25% and 40% less than even deeply discounted new furniture.  As a flexible option, actual savings are directly related to the extent the furniture is upgraded.  Small companies that don't enjoy large discounts particularly benefit, since refurbishing costs are little affected by volume.

CAPITAL.  At its substantially lower cost, refurbishing can often be achieved out of an annual expense or maintenance budget, rather than by using capital funds for new product.

ASSET UTILIZATION.  Many thousands of pieces of office furniture now languish in storage.  By reviving this furniture with new fabric, paint and some adjustments, it is possible to furnish a new or existing office by reusing, not replacing.

AESTHETIC

IMAGE.  Refurbishing is an expedient,
now acceptable, way to update or upgrade
a tired corporate image.  As indicated, the
costs can be relatively minor, while the
benefits accrued from improved customer perception can be significant-even most employees will be unaware that they
are working with recycled furniture.

COORDINATION.  Through fabric and
color, old and new products can easily be harmonized-even products made by different manufacturers.  The ability to mix-and-
match is particularly important to companies, large or small, who need to add workspace,
or who have moved, merged or otherwise reconfigured and need to blend existing furnishings into new interior schemes.

CHOICE.  Surprisingly, a far wider range of options for color, fabric and finish are available for refurbished furniture than for new.  While the original manufacturer or dealer may offer limited choices, the refurbisher can provide an infinite  selection of fabrics and finishes with little effect on cost or service.  This is important to companies and their designers who want to project an up-to-date corporate image.

COLOR.  Color designs are fashion-dependent, even in interiors-brights of the 1960s, earthtones of the 1970s, and grays  and jewel tones of the 1980s, have largely been replaced by deeper, richer, more saturated colors in the 1990s.  Refurbishing provides an opportunity to create a more aesthetically pleasing environment, resulting in the elevation of corporate image important for both client and employee.

ENVIRONMENTAL

ECOLOGY.  According t the Green
 Business Letter, published in Washington
D.C., American businesses buy about
3 million desks and 16.5 million chairs
each year-and roughly half that amount is thrown out annually.  In volume, a single discarded desk approximates a household's annual supply of aluminum and tin cans.
By refurbishing, fabric foam and framing materials are put to good use  and landfills
are spared.  Refurbishing is important to
the estimated 40% of U.S. companies that already have recycling policies for furniture.

LONGEVITY.  Refurbishing extends the
usable life of office systems and other
quality furniture.  In effect,  these pieces
will remain structurally intact almost
indefinitely-refurbishers will usually
assume all but 5% of pieces can be reused.

WORKPLACE.  The interior environment has a marked effect on employee morale and productivity.  Refurbishing is an important part of routine maintenance a swell as full-scale renovation.  In addition, Intersept antimicrobial can be incorporated into the interior environment to improve indoor air quality and help reduce some of the causes of Sick Building Syndrome.

FABRIC RECYCLING.  Another option available when refurbishing is recycling your unused fabric.  Now discarded fabric from the original furniture can be reused as well.  Guilford of Maine Textile Resources and its remanufacturer customers have joined together in an effort to recycle fabric scraps.  Until now, fabric discarded during refurbishing cluttered our environment.  Participate in our recycling program and you will allow what was formerly useless to be generated into many new products.
